The Monday Motivator is a weekly e-mail message that provides advanced graduate students, post-docs, and new faculty with an electronic dose of positive energy, good vibrations, and a weekly productivity tip. The purpose of the weekly message is to reinforce the core ideas presented in Kerry Ann's workshops and provide support for individuals who are making the transition from graduate student to professor.

WHAT FACULTY ARE SAYING ABOUT THE WEEKLY MONDAY MOTIVATOR:
"Thank you very much for being a very important part of my academic life this year. The Monday Motivator was a supportive friend." Professor, College of Arts and Sciences
"I wanted to send a thank you for the Monday Motivator. At first I thought this was going to be another message in my inbox that I would have to read, think about, and then act on. Thus, my first reaction was this is another task along with student emails, committee work, assignments and trying to get my own research done. And 'oh no, how do I get rid of this message!' However, The Monday Motivator has been anything but a burden. It has been a relief to see the issues I am struggling with verbalized and in print. It has become something I look forward to reading and has helped me think about my week and semester... Thank you for taking the time to help us navigate the academic system." Assistant Professor, College of Arts and Sciences
"THANK YOU, for helping me to be cognizant of how this perfectionism comes up in my writing. Your Monday Motivators are simply “incredible.” What a tremendous ministry you have. You are blessing to so many lives, even as those of us in the Academy are encouraged by you to do the work that will bring “healing” to the lives of others. God bless you!" Assistant Professor, College of Social Work
"I've been meaning all year to get back to posting my goals and organizing my office. Reading your Monday Motivators gave me concrete advice to literally build into my calendar and advice to help me map out the near and not so near future. It has also helped me connect to positive karma in the world... THANK YOU again for welcoming me into your world, for the gentle and loving push OFF the treadmill (where I'm going through the motions and not reflecting as much as I should be) and INTO a more pro-active mode to finish the year out. I'm so very deeply and sincerely grateful for that. Many, many thanks." Assistant Professor, College of Social Sciences
“Bra-vo! Thank you for continuing to produce digestible bits of knowledge and insight that affirms and motivates our community.” Post-Doctoral Fellow, College of Public Health
